The growth strategy of the slime mold Physarum polycephalum, half amoeba, half mushroom, is translated into machine language and becomes the germ cell of an immersive, inter-species experiment. The behaviour of this digitized lifeform is influenced by various sensors inviting visitors to become a part of a collective organism. Small analog circuits covering the architecture like lichens, collecting data of environmental conditions and people‘s movements. This data is used in real-time by the physarum to adapt to its surrounding and constantly transform itself, its soundscape and the underlying facade.
