SÉBASTIEN LEFÈVRE (FR) – SOLEIL NUIT MIZAR
“Soleil Nuit Mizar” is a sculptural work that plays with ambient light and changes the perception of public space. Two large discs back-to-back: one side ”Sun”, the other side ”Night”. The two surfaces are covered with 5000 coloured mirrors reflecting light. The work is light, under the effect of the wind, the mirrors oscillate and produce thousands of colourful moving reflections. During the day, it is as changeable as the renewal of light through the clouds. At night, it acts like a radiant star. The observer discovers the vibrations of an impressionist painting in its kinetic version.
