The installation “Photonic Empathy” consists of geometric figures – three volumetric cuboid rectangles. Steel cables connecting the three cuboids ensure the sculpture’s proportionality and structural integrity. Light sources pointing in different directions dynamically emphasize different parts of the geometric figure. This creates an entropic effect of a softly glowing structure, reminiscent of a gentle heartbeat. To interact with this sculpture is to bring to life its visual parallel dimensions. The closed surfaces at the end of each cuboid are fitted with infinite mirror plates that trap and direct photons into the cuboids. If the photons in these mirrors were observers, they would find themselves in a beautiful entropic world.
