Emilien Guesnard (FR) - Asklipion
Discover αsκlipιοn, a plant-based audiovisual installation, the fruit of collaboration between lighting artist Emilien Guesnard, sound designer Cédric Béron, biologist Emeline Mourocq and herbalist Claire Lebeau. In ancient Greece, an αsklipion was a healing shrine dedicated to Asklipios, god of medicine. Reminiscent of the notions of nature and the environment, the work invites us to rediscover the plants from our countryside and their benefits. Plants are known to generate frequencies. The artist and his team have translated these into sound and light, to create a soothing, almost therapeutic experience in the hustle and bustle of the city. Visible day and night, the artwork is accompanied by explanatory labels identifying each plant and its properties. αsκlipιοn is part of an ecological approach with the reuse of material from a previous installation.
