Six fluorescent tubes float in the air in a tense balance. For this artwork, Jean-Pierre David revisits the principle of tensegrity while Christian Thellier digitally reinterprets the electronic hesitations of the fluorescent tube. Suspended from each other without any tube touching each other, they form a solid structure made with fabric only, where the elements held in tension in the air find their rigidity by the sole pressure of the air. The neon lights shine, vibrate and sizzle. The light hops, yellow, red or orange, then goes out in a roar and turns on again in a blue flash. In a victorious finale, the beautiful white light finally appears. Amused by the laborious lighting of the famous luminous tube, the artist tells, in his own way, the story of the neon light.
